We invite you to join us for some good old western rootin’ tootin’ shoot ‘em up fun. You'll find the nicest folks here
always willin' to give ya’ a helping hand to get ya’ started, along with a little kiddin’ and laughter to help ya’ on the way.
Using Guns of the Old West: single action revolvers, pistol caliber lever action rifles, and old time shotguns
(bring whatever you have that‘s close and join the fun). Your score is your time plus penalties for misses and such.
Low score wins. An honest effort to dress in appropriate “old west” style clothing is appreciated.
We will be following SASS safety and scoring rules as best we can. There are many shooting categories to
choose from. The standard SASS categories plus others as deemed necessary to accommodate the most shooters.

We shoot at the Columbus Rifle Clubs’ Clark Memorial Range about 6 miles NW from Columbus NE.

Take Hwy 81 west of Columbus to 235th Ave., go north 2 miles to 265th St., turn east and
the range is on the south side of 265th St. just east of the Loup canal.

Report by 9:00AM to sign up. The safety meeting will be at 9:30.
Shootin’ commences soon after. Dates are below.

March 30th, 2008 = Cabin Fever Breakout. CRC (Columbus Rifle Club) range.

June 29th, 2008 = The Summer Shindig. At CRC range.

July 6th = Bowling pin shoot (CRC range)

August 2nd-3rd, 2008 - Defend Devil’s Drop. Held at Bow View Farm, Crofton NE in a remote scenic prairie setting along the West Bow Creek in eastern Knox County. (Camping available) 6 Main Match SASS type stages on Saturday and 4 Main Match G A F type stages on Sunday with a hearty meal and some side matches both days.

August 2nd = Defend Devil's Drop
(SASS day at Bow View Farm, Crofton NE)

August 3rd = Defend Devil's Drop
(G.A.F. Day at Bow View Farm, Crofton NE)

August 10th = Boothill steel shoot (CRC range)

September 20th-21st, 2008 = 3rd Annual Shootout at the Kamrath Corral. Held at CRC Clark Memorial Range on Saturday and Kamrath Arena on Sunday. (Dry camping available) 6 Main Match SASS type stages on Saturday and Mounted Cowboy shooting on Sunday with a hearty meal and some side matches both days.

Sept. 20th = 3rd Annual Shootout at Kamrath Corral
(SASS day at CRC's Clark Memorial Range)

Sept. 21st = 3rd Annual Shootout at Kamrath Corral
(CMSA mounted and SASS side matches at Kamrath Corral, Monroe NE)

September 7th = Squirrle gun shoot (CRC range)

November 2nd = Muzzle loader shoot (CRC range)

November 30th, 2008 = Fall Roundup on the Clark Range. At CRC range.
